So leading from the three question I was asked to answer which involve where my water comes from, what is in it, and how does it taste I can say these few things abut it. First off, Masontown, where I live, gets there water from Masontown Muni Water Works in Fairchance, PA. The things in my water, well lets just say if you are an avid drinker of Masontown water you may just end up with some liver cancer. Now I know that sounds bad and well lets face it, it is bad, no way of saying that in a good way, but never the less with the amounts of trihalomethanes (TTHMs) and haloacetic acids (HAAs). Now I'm not saying drink Masontown water and die, no, not at all. What I'm saying is drink it, but remember what's in it. It taste good yes, but it's not the best, you know? Get a filter if possible. Be it Masontown, Uniontown, or Fairchance a filter for your water would be fantastic to have. Cleaner water equals a cleaner life...or something.
I was in shock after reading your blog on the condition of the water in Masontown. I have grandparents who live in Masontown so this really concerns me...and also leaves me with a few questions. To start off, did you find out that the water is contaminated by the lab that was done in school, or did you read an article or something, etc., to find this evidence? Next,do TTHM's and HAA's have other long term health affect? And finally, why does Masontown receive their city water from Fairchance? That makes absolutely no sense. But thank you for finding this information so that I can suggest that my grandparents buy a water filter.
